Inspiration comes in many forms, and for Site Supervisor, John Bas, 12 ½ years working at Plantation’s sister company, Henley, has given him the opportunity to view hundreds of different beautiful facades.
From the modern to the classic, the timeless to the edgy, the suite of facades on offer are guaranteed to please Australian families with a variety of styles and tastes.
Inspiration turns into creativity
“In my job, I am lucky enough to be involved in managing all aspects of a family home build. And for me, the façade creates the ultimate first impression. Curbside appeal is very important, and the façade sets the scene to what the rest of the design is inside,” John says.
“A wave of creativity came over me not long ago and I decided to sketch some ideas down to create a façade that is modern and timeless – complementing what Henley and Plantation Homes already has to offer.”
Bold, elegant and timeless
“I envisaged an Axon cladding on the top floor, with large windows, surrounded with black umbra frames. I had a clear vision of a gable façade with a sleek triangular look and finishing it off with brick work on the bottom floor. I wanted to create an edgy architectural look that made an impression.”
John then referred his sketches to the Henley Design team, Jeff Bugeja and Damian Cruickshank, who converted his drawings to a completed façade.
Introducing The Bass
Henley Properties was so thrilled by the façade design, they formalised it and called it ‘The Bass.’
“I am absolutely stoked that my façade in my head has translated to a Plantation Homes façade, which will be launched on the Alpine 31 at Aura, Bells Creek.
“I am looking forward to seeing ‘The Bass’ hopefully being chosen by an Australian family for their home, knowing that a little bit of my creativity was involved in their build.”
